Welcome to the Write Stuff!
The Chartwells 2012 letter writing competition is here!
This year's competition launched at the Sunday Times Oxford Literary Festival in March and is open to all school children aged 7-16 years.
How to enter:
We want to see letters from children on our favourite topic-food! The letter can be addressed to anyone (family members, a politician, school cook or anyone else you can think of) about anything to do with food.
Here are some suggestions of what you could write about, and they fit in really well with the Chartwell?s philosophy: ?Eat, Learn, Live?
EAT
- Something that you really enjoy eating
- Recalling a meal that made a big positive impression on you
LEARN
- Why food is important for education
- The influences of culture on food
- Your experience of cooking or learning about food in school
LIVE
- An environmental or ethical issue concerning the production of food
- Why you prefer home cooked food to eating out
- The life story of the ingredients of a particular dish
